He graduated from the State Academy of Music majoring in Piano under Professor Dora Lazarova and Composition under Professor Alexander Tanev (1980). Later he also graduated from the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Art in Plovdiv majoring in Conducting under Professor Emil Yanev (1995) and completed Master Class in Opera and Symphonic Conducting under Georgi Dimitrov in AMDFA in Plovdiv (2005).

He worked as a Piano and Composition teacher at the Music High School “Hristina Morfova” in Stara Zagora (1980–1983); harmony teacher at the State Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” – Sofia (1991) and piano teacher at the Veliko Tarnovo University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”; a chief expert at the Ministry of Culture, responsible for all music institutions in Bulgaria (1994–1996, 2001–2006); a conductor of the Opera and Phiharmonic Society in Plovdiv (2006).

He was a prize-winner of the First Young Composers and Performers Festival in Quito, Ecuador (1989); the Prize for the best arrangement of Balkanton (1990); the “Golden Staff” Award of the UBC for Symphonic Compositions (2005); the Special Prize for his symphonic fantasia “Rozhen” at the “7/8” Competition for Symphonic Work in Plovdiv (2006) and the Prize of the Plovdiv Municipality for the Concert of the world famous Rick Wakeman with the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has 120 works and more than 1000 arrangements. His works has published in Japan and Bulgaria. His compositions were performed in Russia, the USA, Japan, Ecuador, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovakia, France, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, Hungary, etc.

“Nunca” – one act ballet after M. Gorki’s story, libretto Galina Nikiforova and Elena Lemeshevskaya (1999); “The Little Fairy and the Shepherd” – one act ballet after M. Gorki’s story, libretto Galina Nikiforova and Elena Lemeshevskaya (2011).
